Affordable Housing on Maui

Affordable Housing 

There are several new affordable housing developments across the island, including the new Kamalani Community in Kihei.  Maui County’s 2016 updated area median income shows an 8.5% increase over last year.

 

This means that the income limits to qualify for residential workforce housing are also rising slightly so that those who were previously unable to qualify becuase their income was slightly too high can now qualify.

 

This increase in the income eligibilty threshold will allow more first time home buyers to qualify.
