Hyundai Tournament of Champions
After a long and windy week in Kapalua, Dustin Johnson took home the victory at the PGA Tour of Champions earlier this week. For the 28-year old, this will be the sixth straight season he has won a PGA Tour event. He is the first golfer since Tiger Woods to win his first six seasons after leaving college.
He and Stricker, who came millimeters away from tying for the lead, faced winds that topped 40 miles per hour and forced the tournament to stall for several days. Lucky for Johnson, he had faced (and championed) severe weather in tournaments past, so he was able to push through and find his sixth victory in Hawaii.
Behind Johnson and Stricker were Masters champion Bubba Watson and former PGA champion Keegan Bradley, just one shot back. Congratulations to Dustin Johnson and we can’t wait to see him back in Kapalua next year!
