<< Back to Kapalua Real Estate
Kapalua is a step removed, and some would say above the other two main Maui resorts. It is definitely more reflective of the older, more laid back Maui of yesteryears. That was the deliberate tone set by Maui Land & Pineapple Company when it started to transition from farming to resort tourism 40 years ago: keep it Maui. They centered the resort around a string of magnificent shoreline bays that offer some of the best oceanic activity venues in Hawaii: Kapalua Bay, Flemings Beach, and Honolua Bay are the stuff of legends. The seaward view is focused on Molokai, the fifth largest Hawaiian Island where the older way of life continues to survive. Kapalua is also internationally renowned for its major events, including PGA championship contests.
The only major hotel property in Kapalua, the Ritz Carlton, is tucked into the landscape, back away from the shore. The low-key development pattern throughout the resort blends in with the land. Many of the existing homes are built on large, technically “farm” lots that allow for supreme privacy and personal control of your immediate surroundings. The homes themselves are typically fabulous mansions worth millions.
There are many reasons to seek the guidance and support of a Real Estate professional when buying a new home. That is even more true when buying such well appointed property like a Kapalua home. The trick is to find a professional who knows what they are talking about and can lead you through a successful purchase of your piece of paradise. The Smith Team stands ready and able to make that happen for you.
