Market Update
Happy Veteran's Day! We would like to take this opportunity to remember the 442nd regiment, composed of Japanese American soldiers who fought in World War II. The regiment was formed by Japanese Americans in Hawaii who did not want to be discharged from service due to their Japanese ancestry.
The regiment did very well in training and proved their loyalty to the United States. They later went and fought in Europe and became "the most decorated unit in U.S. military history." 21 of regiment 442's members received medals of honor.
Learn more at the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center in Wailuku. They have an exhibit showing the history of the brave men of the 442 Regiment.
