The First Time Homebuyer Opportunity Program will assist those who qualify with a subsidized payment for the home buying closing costs, down payment, reduction of mortgage interest, and even a mortgage principal reduction.
Making the dream of homeownership a reality has been a challenge for many, but this program offers significant support—with Maui County providing up to $600,000 in direct assistance toward the purchase of a home. This makes owning a home in the community more achievable and secure, even as affordability and long-term stability remain ongoing challenges.
