Market Update
Home prices are rising for the upcoming spring season. A study done by CoreLogic shows that home prices for the country have risen 5.6% in February year over year. This is a the third year we have seen increases in home prices year over year.
CoreLogic predicts that this trend will continue and prices will continue to increase by approximately 5% from 2105 to 2016. This is assuming interests rates remain low and buyer confidence remains high.
The states showing the highest price increases year over year for the month of February are:
- Colorado: +9.8%
- New York: +8.2%
- North Dakota: +7.7%
- Texas: +8.5%
- Wyoming: +8.4%
- Oklahoma: +5.2%
