Market Update
Spring has traditionally been considered the best season to sell a home. A recent study shows that the difference between what season you sell your home in is marginal.
The study focused on how many homes went under contract within 30 days and how many sold above their listed price. Spring came in at the top with 39% of listed homes going under contract within 30 days and 15% selling for more than their asking price, followed by Winter, Summer and then Fall.
Though Spring did have the highest percentage of homes going under contract quickly and selling at a higher than listed price all seasons were very close, separated by only 2% or less. Especially here on Maui where there are little seasonal changes anyway there is really no advantage in waiting until Spring to sell. Sell now!
