Food trucks are becoming a popular trend nationwide and Maui is not getting left behind, you can find delicious food trucks island-wide.
Haiku - Mediterranean Grill parked at the Haiku Marketplace serves an authentic mediterranean menu of gyros, shawarma, kabobs and Greek salad.
Kula - Nuis Thai Truck parked just up the road from Kula True Value serves authentic Thai food made with fresh vegetables from Nui's Farm located just behind the truck.
Kahului- Located across the street from Costco there is a parking lot with several food trucks. Like Poke serves a variety of poke made fresh daily. Waynes Sushi is actually an old fishing boat turned into a food "truck" and they have amazing sushi. Thai Me Up serves authentic Thai curries and pad Thai, but get there early they run out fast.
West Maui - Yelp.com reviewers voted Shark Pit the #1 food truck in the United States. They have a unique menu of tacos, burgers, sandwiches and soups though their most popular item is their fish tacos.
South Maui - Often parked out towards Makena Jawz Fish Tacos is famous for their fish tacos but have other California- Mexican dishes, always refreshing after a long day at the beach.

P.S. - The 11th annual Whale Tales at the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua takes place this weekend, Feb. 24-27. Scientists, photographers, filmmakers and conservationists come together to educate the community about Humpback whales and to raise money for research and education.
