Market Update
As we start a New Year, let's take a quick look back at 2008.
In 2008, there were 904 residential sales totalling $751 Million. The average price was $832K and the median price was $576K.
There were 787 condos sold with a total of $723 Million. The average condo sold for $919K with a median price of $544K.
There were only 96 vacant land sales totalling $93 Million. The average sale was $974K and the median price was $700K.
The overall total for all classes including Commercial and Time Shares was $1.6 Billion which was down from $2.3 Billion in 2007. These numbers reflect very closely on the 34% drop in the number of transactions.
We are happy to report that The Smith Team bucked the downtrend with sales of nearly $29 Million, an increase of 9% over 2007.
