2022 Year-End Maui Statistics
While national and local real estate markets shifted greatly under the weight of recession measures and rising interest rates, causing the number of transactions and overall volume to drop across all categories, the median values for residential single-family homes and condos increased and continued to break records this past year.
2022 was not as strong of a year as 2021 for land transactions. Total number of sales was down 39%, volume of sales was down 28% and median sale value was also down 15%. Haiku and Kapalua performed higher than other areas of Maui in top dollar volume.
The highest recorded residential sale was for the property at 38 Ualei Place which sold for $28,500,000. The highest recorded condominium sale was at Wailea Beach Villas, D101 for $12,000,000.
