We would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy this time with your family and friends. If you are not up for cooking this year, Maui has lots of places to get a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Most of the resorts serve a special turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. We all know the story of the first Thanksgiving, but Thanksgiving didn't become a National Holiday until 200 years later. One of the most influential advocates petitioning for Thanksgiving to be observed as a National Holiday was Sarah Josepha Hale, also the author of the popular nursery rhyme "Mary had a Little Lamb."
The National Turkey Federation (yes a real organization) says 46 million turkeys are consumed in the United States on Thanksgiving.
