Market Update
We hope you had a wonderful and joyous Christmas weekend! Our Christmas Day was spent enjoying a sunny beach day at Hookipa Beach Park with our beautiful girls and their cousins from Oregon.
Last week, there was a blessing for the new Andaz Wailea Hotel that is being built on the site of the long-closed Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort. This boutique hotel will make use of technology with more hotel staff interacting with guests on an intimate level. According to The Maui News, “A staffer with a tablet computer will greet the guests, and it is supposed to feel as if they are being welcomed into the home of a friend. The staffer will guide them to their room, explaining the amenities. ” I find it interesting that there will be no lobby on site and that the developer would like to make the experience more interpersonal.
The developer is also planning to sell 19 oceanfront villas that are anticipated to be 2,600 sq. ft. to 2,900 sq. ft. It is still in the design stage, so we’ll keep you posted once we find out more information. Email us at [email protected] if you are interested. The anticipated completion of The Andaz is Spring of 2013.
