Market Update
The 2017 first quarter stats are in. South Maui is leading the island in total sales volume for both homes and condos. The total number of South Maui home sales are up 2%, at 50 total compared to this quarter last year. Total Dollar volume of South Maui home sales is up 130% at $97,081,478. This increase in total dollar volume can be attributed to the 11 home sales in Wailea this quarter compared to 1 sale last year.
Islandwide 50 more condos were sold this quarter compared to the first quarter of 2016. It remains a busy market, with pending sales at their highest levels in the last five years. South Maui condo sales are up 47% over this quarter last year at 194 sales and total dollar volume is up 82% to $151,811,353.
Islandwide residential home sales are down 5% to 230 sales. The median sales price is $699K, up 15% from last year at $610K. The average days on the market for a home is 98 days.
