Market Update
The county will be amending the ordinance for requirements for short-term rental home permit applications. According to Jarred Burkett, Planner, Permitting Department today, May 15, 2018:
An application for a TVR submitted by end of business day, September 26, 2018 "shall be honored". Applications received by that date will be processed as per the old ordinance and, if approved, will receive a permit.
The new ordinance takes affect September 27, 2018, so the application must be in by the 26th.
The new ordinance requires any owners submitting applications from September 27, 2018 onward, to have owned the property for at least 5 years.
This does not apply to condo complexes (hotel or apartment zoned), but does apply to residential properties including residential CPR's, (Residential, Ag or rural).
