Seawalls are used to save roads, homes, condos and other infrastructure from chronic coastal erosion. Without the protection of seawalls these structures could eventually fall into the ocean. A seawall is the most common solution to erosion where a large structure is built as a barrier between the ocean and coastal property.
As the 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions held at Kapalua concluded at the beginning of the month golf fans around the world are dreaming of playing where the pros do here on Maui's many scenic courses.
The Humpback whales are here and they are showing off! Though the first whale sighting of the season was back in October we haven't seen much action since then. Last week though they were lots of sightings of whales breaching, and just having fun in the water.
The recent hike is the third rate hike of 2017, leading us to believe we can expect to continue to see rate hikes throughout 2018.
